The Upton in Bloom Committee was formed in 2004, following a small group of people who got together in 2003 and, in six weeks, transformed the town with the result of winning a Gold Award in the Heart of England in Bloom campaign.

Since that initial win, Upton in Bloom have won a further three Gold Awards and in 2006 was nominated for the RHS Britain in Bloom 2007 campaign.

Support for the Committee has grown year on year. In addition, other community groups are supporting the effort to improve the town for the benefit of residents and tourists.

Our theme this year celebrates the 150th Anniversary of the birth of Sir Edward Elgar. Sir Edward's first composition was 'The Language of Flowers', which we think is very appropriate.

On our website we hope to show you what we have done, and what we are doing, in our ongoing aim to make our town worthy of a Britain in Bloom award.
